Jam/Unreal Version

In 2022, Global Game Jam was online for obvious reasons. I teamed up with some randos, as I often do, Tammy and Peter.
It was Tammy's first game jam. Coming from a film background, she had little experience with programming or art production,
so she handled project management and she was incredible at it. Her organizational skills kept us on track and made the whole process painless.
Peter, our programmer, had just discovered a feature in Unreal Engine that simplified networked multiplayer setups through Steam.
He had a two-player card game framework ready to go, and we decided to build on it for the jam.
I didn’t contribute much to the core design this time. While Peter and Tammy worked on the mechanics, I attended a sponsor talk. By the time
I got back, they had created a system of complex card interactions that defined the gameplay.
My design contributions were more about direction. I suggested using tabletop simulators instead of paper prototypes, which sped up our iteration process.
I also proposed playing as villains instead of heroes, which fit the theme of a "dubious alliance". I spent the bulk of the rest of the jam drawing
cards with some folks from Pixel Route!"
